Australia’s Department of Home Affairs has announced its significant support to nationals of Ukraine that includes the following:
- all of their visas will be automatically renewed for a further six months, if their visas are expiring prior to 30th June 2022 and they are already onshore Australia;
- processing visa applications from all visa categories as a top priority;
If they are already in Australia and their visas are expiring prior to the 30th June 2022, their visas will be automatically renewed. They do not have to re-apply for any other visas. Instead, the Department of Home Affairs will be contacting each visa holder in Australia to check if they wish to extend their stay in Australia.
